Mr. Amir Kumar Polai is the visionary educator behind Basic Point, with over 25 years of teaching experience in Mathematics across various levels. Driven by a deep passion for education and a commitment to nurturing young minds, he established the center in 2017 to create a learning space where clarity, simplicity, and student confidence are at the core of teaching.

Throughout his career, Mr. Polai noticed a common struggle among students—the gap between what is taught in the classroom and what is truly understood. With his natural gift for explanation and unmatched patience, he began focusing on concept-based teaching that allows students to fully grasp the “why” behind every topic, not just the “how.”

As the Concept Coach, he simplifies difficult concepts into everyday examples, using relatable scenarios that make mathematics approachable, even for students who fear it. His classes are known for being calm, methodical, and student-friendly, ensuring that every learner feels seen, heard, and supported.

Mr. Anshuman Polai is the Co-Founder and Manager of Basic Point, playing a vital role in the center’s daily operations, student experience, and long-term growth. While he may not be in front of the classroom every day, his impact is felt in every corner of the learning environment.

With a strong background in education management and student support, Anshuman ensures that each batch runs smoothly, that every student feels guided, and that every parent is kept informed. From managing enrollments, schedules, and progress tracking systems to maintaining communication between teachers, students, and families—he is the operational backbone of Basic Point.

Anshuman’s vision aligns with the institute’s founding values: clarity, discipline, accessibility, and innovation. He works closely with the founder to make sure that these values are reflected not only in how classes are taught, but also in how the center runs day to day.

He is also the driving force behind student-friendly initiatives, including flexible batch timings, one-on-one support setups, progress review meetings, and personalized guidance. From a single classroom in 2017 to becoming a trusted center for hundreds of students across multiple boards, Basic Point has always stood for one thing — clarity in learning. Founded by Mr. Amir Kumar Polai, an experienced and visionary educator, the center was created to address what many schools overlook: personal attention, conceptual depth, and emotional support in the learning process.

In the early days, classes were small and focused. Every student was taught like the only student in the room — not just taught to score, but taught to think. As word spread, more learners walked through our doors — not just for tuition, but for a space where they were understood, supported, and empowered.

By 2019, over 200 students had already benefitted from our unique approach, and in 2020 we celebrated a major milestone — 90%+ board result consistency across Classes 10 and 12. It was not just about academic excellence, but about building confidence, consistency, and curiosity in our students.

As the education landscape changed, so did we. Staying true to our core values, we brought in innovations that enhanced the learning experience:
